Toccoa Falls College Officially Becomes University of Toccoa Falls
Toccoa Falls, Ga. (July 1, 2026)
Toccoa Falls College officially became University of Toccoa Falls on July 1, 2026, marking a new chapter in the institution’s history while continuing its long-standing mission and commitment to Christ-centered education.
The transition reflects the institution’s continued growth in academics and enrollment and more accurately represents its existing structure, which includes multiple schools, graduate programs, faculty scholarship, and a broad range of academic offerings. While the name is new, the mission and day-to-day operations remain unchanged.
As stated by President, Dr. Bob Myers, “This new name more accurately reflects who we are today as a growing institution with multiple academic schools, including the Fetterman School of Nursing and the Chapman School of Graduate Studies. The name change also acknowledges our expanding academic offerings, including graduate programs, and enrollment that now approaches 3,600 students. Exactly 50 years ago, Toccoa Falls Institute became Toccoa Falls College to better represent what the institution had grown to be. Today, the University of Toccoa Falls represents the next chapter in that story.”
The mission of Toccoa Falls will continue to be rooted in faith, with its culture and community grounded in Scripture. For more than a century, a commitment to biblical truth, academic excellence, Christ-centered community, and intentional spiritual formation has shaped the institution. As the University of Toccoa Falls enters this new chapter, it remains committed to developing godly character with intellect and preparing students to lead and serve in churches, communities, professions, and ministries around the world.
