January 9–13, 2022
In scripture we are encouraged, as brothers and sisters in the Lord, to carry each other’s burdens. Yet as global missions leaders, how do we help carry the burdens of our International Workers who are serving and living far away from us? What role can your church play, whether large or small, in nurturing, encouraging, and inspiring our workers to accomplish the mission to which God has called them? Join us in Columbus, as together we explore an important focus for all of our churches:
Essentials of Member Care for the Local Church
What is Member Care? Member Care is actively caring for the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of your Alliance partners, both on the field and during home assignment.
Carry each other’s burdens. – Galatians 6:2
Who is Invited?
While Converge is designed for any pastor, missions leader, or outreach coordinator from an Alliance church with an attendance of 200 or more, all churches are welcome.
What to Expect
This year our theme is one of the most important we could ever have: Essentials of Member Care for the Local Church. Caring well for our International Workers is at the heart of being a great missions church, yet it’s not easy and requires great intentionality. Throughout our 3-day conference, we will explore the foundations of Member Care and discover together the many opportunities our churches have to invest in our workers. We’ll also hear from Alliance Missions leaders as well as International Workers with updates from around the Alliance world.
As a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family, we are passionate about the spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental health of our 700+ workers spanning the globe. Every Alliance church plays a vital role in making this happen as we partner together to take all of Jesus for all the world.
