Candy has been married to Reverend Lindsey Alcosiba for 32 years. They have three sons. They have served with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 30 years in the Central Pacific District and currently, in the South-Central District as senior pastors at Redemption Point Alliance church in McKinney, Texas. Candy has been a main speaker at many retreats. She was the keynote speaker at the City Serve pastor’s conference and has spoken at several Bay Area churches on sexual brokenness. Candy is the founder of First She Prays ministries, www.firstsheprays.com. As a writer, she desires to bring hope through devotional entries.

Speaker: Anna Beatty

Anna serves at Grace Church in Middleburg Heights, OH, as the Prayer Mobilizer & Director of Residency. Her passion is to equip, empower, and encourage people to minister to others through prayer and to raise up humble, servant leaders who impact the world around them for Jesus. Anna graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education in 2004. She also completed the Alliance’s School of Ministry in 2022. Anna is originally from Wisconsin but now lives in North Royalton with her husband, four kids, and their dog. In her free time, Anna enjoys hanging out with her kids, running, playing music, and getting a cup of coffee with someone to get to know them better.

Session Title: Managing Life and Ministry—Trusting God as You Take Faithful Steps to Serve Him

Speaker: SANDY KANG

Sandy, alongside her husband Ted and four daughters, has been pastoring at San Jose Christian Alliance Church since 2002. With prior roles as the founding director of Gateway Preschool Academy and as the staff director at Healing Grove Health Center, she is now launching a new kingdom initiative called Nexus Mentoring. She is part of the Empower team where she focuses on equipping and training women worldwide. Her passion is to develop leaders and catalyze social change in local and global communities. During her free time, she loves exploring the great outdoors and sipping on a good cup of coffee.

Session Title: Raising Up Leaders in the Alliance

Speaker: KIM GARCIA and Amy Roedding

Kim Garcia is currently a candidate recruitment and development (CRD) representative in Pennsylvania for the Alliance. This role allows her to connect with college students and help individuals looking to serve in ministry either locally or overseas. While studying biology at Temple University in Philadelphia, she started a college bible study in her apartment. This is where she felt God put in her heart to continue discipling youth and young adults. In 2016, Kim completed her Master of Divinity at the Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY where she also met her husband, Pablo. Kim served as the Youth Director for the New York Vietnamese Alliance Church until November 2020. She and her husband have two young children, Leilani and Judah.

Amy Roedding is passionate about helping the next generation step into their ministry calling in the Alliance Family. She serves as the Director for Candidate Recruitment and Development for The Alliance, and though her role oversees both men and women being developed and placed for Kingdom work in the Alliance, she enthusiastically pursues helping women find their place of ministry. Amy also teaches spiritual formation for Crown College’s online ministry program. Amy and her husband live in Pataskala, Ohio.

Session Title: Dealing with Conflict in Ministry

Speaker: Kathy Sappia

Kathy Sappia has been in ministry with the Alliance since 2001. Her family served as International Workers for 20 years and were called to the National Office in 2021, where she has been serving with Alliance Peacemaking. Years of ministry overseas as a team leader have equipped her to handle conflict. She has seen how conflict can be used as an opportunity for God to do amazing things. Kathy is excited to be taking on the role of Director of Alliance Peacemaking in July 2024 and desires to continue to equip others on how to handle conflict in a God-honoring way.

Session Title: Unwrap Your Gifts—Taking Ownership Over Your Gifts

Speaker: Omee Thao

Omee Thao is the wife of Dr. Lantzia Thao, District Superintendent of the Hmong District. They have been married for 34 years and have five beautiful children and two precious grandsons. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN in 2004 and her Masters of Art in Leadership from Denver Seminary in May 2015, where she also works full-time as a Circulation Librarian. Omee is passionate about many things, but three of her deepest passions are (1) to continue serving alongside her husband in the ministry as long as God enables her to; (2) to become someone that God can use to empower others and in return that they can do the same for others, generation after generation until we meet Jesus Christ; and (3) to see young people – especially young women to rise up and allow God to use them in a mighty way to impact their generation.
