Create Apprenticeships for the Deaf

Project Name: Central Asian Deaf Comm Empowerment

Deaf people in this central Asian country often find themselves on the margins of society. With limited opportunities to pursue education and job training, many struggle to find stable employment. Prevailing misconceptions about deafness even lead some to believe they are cursed or unloved by God.

By giving to this project, you will enable Deaf students to enroll in apprenticeships led by master craftsmen from their communities. Through these apprenticeships, the students develop skills to pursue jobs in fields like carpentry, auto mechanics, plumbing, and cosmetology.

Some students you assist are graduates of a sign language program led by Alliance workers who have been building connections with local families for years—all for the purpose of demonstrating God’s love and teaching unreached peoples about His Word. The apprenticeships are a practical way to show these and other sign language students and their families that God cares for them and provides for their every need.
