Ministry will be in church planting near Tepic, the capital city of the state of Nayarit, with a population of 350,000 people, and guided by an agreement we have with the Mexican national church. Ministry will also involve working alongside a Mexican leadership team, giving stability to an emerging church plant begun by a Mexican national pastor. In addition, ministry will involve developing strong local church leadership by mentoring and discipling—along with the stated goal of evangelism and outreach ministry to a least-reached people group (Wixarika or Cora) in the Tepic area.

aXcess: English as a Catalyst in Mexico

Establish ESL community centers in coordination with a multi-site church-planting strategy to make an impact with the gospel in the least-reached sector of the Western Hemisphere. The Alliance is looking for someone to establish evangelistic ESL community centers as a part of a multi-site church planting-strategy in Guadalajara (GDL) and surrounding states. This opportunity involves serving on a team that is starting a network of multiplying campus sites in a population that tends to be resistant and suspicious of anything other than the traditional religion. Consequently, this requires being a positive presence in the community by meeting societal needs and building relational bridges that can bear the weight of the gospel. The applicant(s) will be expected to contribute by teaching two semesters a year of English classes, developing and implementing ESL centers in each of our three campus sites in GDL and in one site in a neighboring state where relationship building with a resistant indigenous group is gaining traction.
