Chaplains Going When God Says “Go!”

Across generations, Alliance chaplains have faithfully answered God’s call to serve in times of war, trusting Him as they step into uncertainty and embrace the sacred responsibility of ministering to others—even today.

Throughout history, Alliance chaplains have stepped forward when global tensions rise, answering God’s call to serve soldiers in moments of uncertainty.

I have seen this before. Five years ago, our Alliance Archives presented three boxes of some then unknown Alliance chaplains who served in World War II. As conflict increased, and young men and women went off to war, 33 Alliance pastors volunteered, heard the Lord’s calling, and followed His redirect in their lives.

Our Alliance pastor and Army Reserve chaplain Justin is going through the same similar divine engagement. You’ll be blessed to hear his testimonial and how he is processing the Lord’s leading to deploy as a chaplain in his reflections linked below.

Even today, they reflect. They wrestle honestly with the weight of leaving home. They embrace the unknowns of war. And yet, they heed the deep spiritual responsibility they will bear. In all of that, with their family, they embrace a deployment as a sacred opportunity for God to work powerfully through them in places few others can go.
