Everything in God's Time (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Are we there yet?
No, we are still in Paraguay, but, God has us here for a purpose. We want to share with you some ways He is using us as we wait on his timing to enter Uruguay!

First time experiencing a Messianic Seder
As Randy led us through the Passover Seder, our group of Latino missionary candidates learned the Jewish roots of the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples and the connection to our Holy Communion.

First time hearing the Resurrection story
On Easter Sunday, while enjoying time with Paraguayan friends out in the country, Alicia was asked to share the story of the resurrection of Jesus. What a privilege to share His love and truth to these young Paraguayan girls who were hearing the story for the first time!

First time living in brick homes
Randy joined Pastors and other Alliance missionaries at the indigenous Guarani tribal community to celebrate the completion of houses that our church here helped fund and build. Ten families were given certificates as we prayed over them and dedicated their homes and community bathrooms replacing their run-down shacks and unsanitary latrines. Although they still follow their tribal religion, trust is being built as this practical need is met and the love of Jesus is shared with them.

First days without husband and father
Lastly, Alicia and I were able to share the love of Jesus with Laura, a young widow and her two young girls. Alicia visited them and brought a basket of food, dolls, games and money that we had collected with our church. The week prior they were devastated by the loss of their 35 year-old dad and husband (who was our building administrator) to COVID, as the virus continues to ravage Paraguay despite all the safety protocols. Alicia brought a little bit of joy and prayed God's comfort over their grieving hearts.

By supporting us, we were able to be here to impact the lives of these Latino missionary candidates, the unsaved Paraguayans (including the Guarani tribe) and a young widow and her girls, financially, physically, and spiritually. Thank you!

Although this Divine Detour is taking longer than expected, we are grateful to be available here to do whatever God asks of us. May you be encouraged by these photos, and know we love you and bless you for your prayers and support! Please continue to pray with us for God's perfect timing to complete this detour and send us on the next leg of our journey.

Thank you for sending, praying, and giving! Please let us know how we can pray for you.

With our Love and Thanks, Randy & Alicia
