We are committed to providing opportunities for all ages to be engaged in meaningful ministry. www.riverrockchurch.com WHY WE ARE To be the called body of Christ to take the Gospel in obedience of the great commission to the people of Belle Plaine and surrounding communities. Worship Services Due to COVID-19, we are no longer able to rent the school for worship or Wednesday children’s programs. We have a good relationship with a downtown restaurant owner who rents us his space on most Sunday mornings. We believe that this arrangement is not conducive to growth. Based on what we hear from community members, the people of Belle Plaine will not recognize us as a legitimate church without a more permanent meeting site for the entire congregation to gather. We are actively seeking God’s guidance to our next “home” for worship and other activities. We own 10 acres on hwy 169. Life Groups We believe that sharing life together is the key to Christian growth and building ministry skills. We have multiple adult groups meeting in homes or the ministry center and an active youth ministry. We believe that small group ministry is essential to building relationships and growing the church. We desire to be a church of small groups, not a church with small groups. Life groups are not a replacement for large group gatherings (worship service). Outreach Our most successful outreach to the community has been through our children’s and youth ministries, drawing many community kids. There is good “soil” here and we desire to be more effective in this area for all age groups. We are open to creative outreach opportunities in our community. Pastoral Role The Pastor (and elders) 1. Guide and counsel RRC community to go deeper in their love for Jesus, while training them to be faithful stewards of the good news. 2.
