Pastor of Outreach This Pastor of Outreach position is for First Alliance Church located in Lexington, Kentucky, a church that is very excited about our future! Our mission is to Love God, Love Others, and Live Fully Engaged in Christ’s Great Commission starting in Lexington, Kentucky. Our vision is to be a church that loves our neighbors, reaches the nations, and raises up the next generation by courageously living out new, faith-filled expressions of our rich heritage. The Pastor of Outreach will be responsible for defining, supporting, and maintaining local and global partnerships, achieving FAC family awareness and engagement with these partnerships throughout all ministries and age groups. This Pastor will be our Acts 1:8 catalyst. Job focus would be as follows. Local Partnerships: Identify and develop current and new local partnerships for FAC. Oversee personal evangelism training that is taught on a regular basis within the life of FAC. Continue to bring attention and support as appropriate to our FAC church plants in central Kentucky. Global Partnerships: Identify and develop a strategic set of global partnerships, with preference given to Alliance work and workers from FAC. Provide member care for missionaries who are already deployed from FAC. Identify, develop, and provide care for emerging missionary candidates. Coordinate visits of our church lay people to our overseas partners as appropriate. Work with lay leaders and staff of ministries sending groups on these missions trips and fundraise as appropriate amongst the people of FAC. Engaging the Congregation: Work with the other pastoral staff and key ministry leaders to ensure all ministries incorporate an outward focus toward the world in mission, starting in Lexington, Kentucky. Raise awareness of all partnerships and allow people of FAC to partner in tangible ways. Develop and implement funding plans to help with partnership needs. Have two partnership weekends throughout the year with multi-age and interest activities including the Sunday service. Cheerlead and promote these weekends as well as lead them. Other expectations: This role will report to the Lead Pastor. Full-time with an expectation of 40 hours of work per week and salary based on experience. Benefits will be commensurate to other full-time pastoral staff. Educational requirements: Should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. Previous church staff experience preferred.
