Worship and Discipleship Pastor To apply submit a resume, one-page testimony, 1-2 page “philosophy of worship,” and video links of worship leading to Brian Wiggins at This position is a full time (40-50 hour per week), exempt position. Purpose of the Position • To oversee and lead all areas of ROL worship ministry (50%) • To keep ROL ministry focused on making mature disciples who make disciples. • To support and serve alongside of the Lead Pastor. Qualifications for the Position • A mature Christian modeling I Timothy 3:1-7 (Elder qualities) and Galatians 5:22,23 (Fruit of the Spirit) character. • Proven ability to identify and lead volunteer teams of people. • Must be credentialed or pursuing credentials with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. • Desired traits: Highly motivated, collaborative skills, relational, organized and detail oriented, flexible, creative, strategic thinker, leadership gifts. • Proven music and technical abilities sufficient for worship responsibilities. • Prior worship and pastoral experience required. Primary Responsibilities Worship: • Establish a worship ministry philosophy which affects how worship is led and which songs are chosen. • Communicate weekly with the Lead Pastor to establish the Order of Service . • Lead worship for Sunday morning services. • Oversee/Manage worship ministry song pool in Planning Center. • Manage the Planning Center Service account • Manage all ROL Licensing with CCLI, ProPresenter, and Livestreaming Software • Administrate volunteer worship schedule for band, vocal, sound, media and video techs. • Train and equip new recruits for band, vocal, media, sound and video techs. • Empower and disciple all current worship ministry members in their respective roles. • Plan and execute worship nights as applicable • Manage all technology repair/maintenance/upgrade of stage, sound, lighting, and video equipment. • Set up stage for each week’s unique band/vocal makeup. • Manage all needed purchases for band accessories (Drum Sticks, Chords, Mics, Etc.). • Plan and lead weekly worship practice on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. • Manage all Sunday Service graphics and worship lyric slides. • Administrate all ProPresenter functions and system. • Give leadership direction for the Worship Ministry with ROL Elder overseeing worship. Discipleship: • In partnership with the Lead Pastor, develop and implement a measurable discipleship process from new believers through mature believers. • In partnership with the Journey Group Pastor develop a discipleship strategy for Journey Groups. Provide oversight to the Journey Group Pastor for implementation of this strategy. • Oversee Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministries and Zeal. This includes coming alongside ministry teams to ensure that their purposes line up with the mission, vision and core values of ROL. • Oversee iConnect and assimilation ministry with support of Church Administrator. • Develop and oversee a Deacon ministry to oversee the maintenance and care of the building and grounds. • Attend Elder and Governing Board meetings. • Share weddings, funerals, counseling, visitation, and benevolence. • Supervise staff in absence of Lead Pastor. • Preach approximately six times per year as requested by Lead Pastor. • Participate in staff meetings and pastoral functions as assigned by the Lead Pastor. Relationships • Reports to the Lead Pastor and responsible to the Elder Board • Relates to and coordinates with other ministry staff and volunteers. • Non-voting member of the Elder and Governing Board. Compensation Compensation is commensurate on credentials and experience.
