Children's Ministry Assistant- North Shore Fellowship of the C&MA Part Time, Sundays, 2 locations At North Shore Fellowship in Monmouth County NJ, we are excited to announce that we are searching for a Children’s Ministry assistant for both of our locations. Our growing children’s ministry is a place where children of all ages can encounter Jesus in age-appropriate, clean, safe, and fun ways. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is innovative with high energy, integrity and passion, and will be responsible for teaching and assisting in all areas of our Children’s Ministry. The Children’s Ministry Assistant will develop and empower a team of volunteers and will lead and serve the children and their families. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Plan and execute dynamic and engaging Sunday programing that is age appropriate, biblically based and fun. • Plan and execute programing designed to actively engage children in their faith, expand their Biblical knowledge and disciple them to grow in their relationship with Jesus • Recruit, train, care for and equip adult volunteers to walk alongside, serve, and teach children as they grow in their relationship with Jesus • Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers and staff, via email, text, phone or in person. • Provide a safe, clean, attractive, fun environment for children • Assist with, participate in and support other events, meetings and/or activities as required for staff members Qualifications: • Passion for children and ability to maintain a positive classroom culture through motivating teaching and engaging lessons • Excellent communication and relational skills with the ability to communicate with individuals on various levels, including volunteer team, kids and parents. • Strong administrative and leadership skills • Familiar with, or able to learn latest child check-in and safety software • Experience in developing staff and volunteer ministry teams • Knowledgeable in children’s ministry, child development and spiritual formation • Committed to vision, values, and beliefs of North Shore Fellowship • Theologically and doctrinally aligned with the C&MA • Demonstrates evidence of a Christ-like attitude in words and actions, with humility • Project a professional NSF image through in-person, e-mail, social media, text and phone interaction • Self-starter - able to work independently in a disciplined manner • Proven ability to use good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
