Lead Pastor Job Description: Washington Alliance Church 246 Sanitarium Road Washington, PA 15301 The Washington Alliance Church is a well-established church with a rich history of over 100 years impacting our community. While maintaining our core values, we also look to the future with a willingness to adapt to better serve our community. Our mission statement is “We exist to glorify Christ by impacting our world with the Gospel and living as disciples of Jesus Christ in context of a worshiping and caring community of believers.” As a church body we emphasize “Making Much of Christ” as our daily goal. In 2007 the Washington Alliance Church relocated to a 22-acre suburban site. Our new multi-functional worship facility is a contemporary setting with large outdoor recreation areas. In 2011 additional facilities were added to accommodate the increase in children and youth ministries. The Washington Alliance Church is debt free and supports its ministries with a paid staff consisting of: ? Lead Pastor ? Pastor for Student & Family Ministries ? Director for Worship Ministries ? Director for Children’s Ministries ? Director for Student Ministries ? Facilities Manager ? Office support staff. For the past 16+ years we have been under the leadership of a lead pastor who will be retiring from full time ministries in 2018, placing the Washington Alliance Church with the opportunity to plan for the next phase of its ministry. For the future and continued growth of our church we seek a lead pastor with the following: ? Ability to cast vision and direction for the church body in ministries, service, leadership and discipleship. ? Teach, train and lead congregation to know and use their God given spiritual gifts. ? Ability to engage and mobilize multi-generational ministries. ? Expand our footprint of service, outreach and ministry in our community and abroad. ? Expand our passion for global evangelism and enhance commitments to CMA missionaries. ? Commitment to preaching and teaching the Word. ? A multi-staff leader, team builder, and capable in leadership development as well as empowering existing staff and volunteer leadership to advance to the next level. ? A life committed to prayer and whose love for Jesus is obvious. ? Prior experience in leading a church with 500+ attendees.
