Please pray for the people of Venezuela following devastating 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes this past week. Many families have lost homes, loved ones are missing or injured, and life has been deeply disrupted. The nation was already facing a difficult economic situation. Many are going hungry and losing jobs; Venezuelans are in desperate need of help and hope.
Ask God to provide comfort, provision, and hope to those affected, and to strengthen local churches as they bring relief and continue the work of the Lord, offering both practical care and the love of Christ in this time of great need.
"Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jeremiah 17:14
The new ministry center in the capital has finally found a location and the contract has been signed! Steps are moving forward! Please pray for this new location, as it is a new construction and still has one to two months of work left before the building is ready for move-in. Pray for a good relationship with the landowner as well--for favor as we share our faith boldly and seek to work together with integrity.
Continue to pray for the outreach happening in surrounding villages, and for the relationships to continue to grow. Pray for the continued follow-up by IWs and our Senegalese partners throughout the summer.
Pray for God to call more people to Senegal, to our teams in the different locations, to medical work, and to church planting in the capital and up north. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few!
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
Pray for a weekend camp being held for young adults where a C&MA IW is the speaker. Pray that the Spirit would work in the hearts of those attending, which include both believers and not-yet believers.
Pray for a solution to be reached quickly for the political gridlock that has happened again with the Kosovo government. Pray for mercy for citizens who are just wanting a solution and way to move forward after three rounds of general elections.
Praise the Lord that one of the local unemployed believers was finally able to retire and collect the equivalent of social security, which improves the financial situation for him and his son. Pray for them to grow in their relatively new relationship with the Lord.
Within Middle East and North Africa diaspora ministry, please pray for a picnic outreach this week as we seek to deepen relationships. Pray that from the language cafe community, the Lord will bring together a faith community of people who love Jesus and one another. Pray too for the weekly women?s cafe outreach among Arabs--that these women will be drawn to the peace and love that Jesus offers them.
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:11
Pray for Connect, an event happening July 6-10 that brings together new workers, current workers, and workers near retirement. Pray for the workers in all seasons to be equipped and encouraged at Connect and as they leave and embark on their next chapters.
