Orchard Alliance is organized as a subsidiary of and supporting ministry to the mission and affiliated ministries of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance). We share the common goal to know Jesus Christ; exalt Him as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King; and complete His Great Commission by:
- Proclaiming the truth of God’s Word by emphasizing the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, and the imminent return of the Lord Jesus;
- Evangelizing and discipling persons throughout the United States and around the world, incorporating them into Christ-centered, community-focused congregations, and mobilizing them in a missionary effort designed to plant Great Commission churches among both unreached and responsive peoples worldwide; and
- Working collaboratively with other churches and organizations that share the mission and vision of The Alliance to extend Christ’s Kingdom.
The individual holding the above position must be an active participant in an evangelical Christian church, an Alliance church is preferred, and accept and live in accordance with the C&MA Statement of Faith, Policy on Alcohol and Marijuana Use, and the Statement on Sexuality. The individual must also refrain from behavior that detracts from the Christian testimony of The Alliance and Orchard Alliance. Any deviation from these requirements disqualifies the individual from employment by Orchard Alliance.
The executive assistant is a fully integrated role in the day-to-day operations of Development (DEV) and participates where needed in the development process and procedures to help achieve greater results. It is under the direction of the chief development officer and the assistant vice president for Development (DEV Executives). In the performance of his/her responsibilities, this position supports the overall mission of Orchard Alliance as described below:
Our mission is to equip God’s stewards for greater Kingdom impact. Our vision is to see every person and ministry we serve empowered in biblical stewardship, accomplishing God’s purposes for His glory. Our roots go back to pastors and laypeople establishing a movement of like-minded resource providers for Alliance churches in advancing the gospel, first as the Laymen for Christian Ministry Service, then more formally as the Church Extension Loan Fund in 1959 at General Council, Buffalo, New York. Although there were acts of non-cash giving and estate and gift planning dating back to at least the 1940s, a formalized effort in this area was adopted as Stewardship Ministries in 1969. From these beginnings, Orchard Alliance was born. As a stewardship and generosity ministry, all team members are a 1 Samuel 14:1-14 armor-bearer to The Alliance. Orchard Alliance supports The Alliance with strategic financial resources for their purpose and to advance the Kingdom through their mission and vision.
