Project Name: CAMA – Women’s Bakery Initiative in North Africa
CHALLENGE GOAL: $107,738
Location: North Africa
Amira* was like many young women in North Africa—jobless, traumatized, and without training or experience to start a new life. Then, she met a bakery owner who overlooked her lack of formal education and job qualifications and trained her to become a baker. Other women need the same opportunity.
Amira’s story has inspired Alliance workers in the region to open a bakery where young women like her will receive vocational training, mentorship, and a viable pathway out of poverty and exploitation. The bakery will also be an environment where they can heal from trauma and realize their God-given dignity.
Give to this project today to set North African women on the path to financial stability, healing, and restored hope.
