Step One: Create an Action Plan

Work with your pastor, district, college rep, the International Placement Office (IPO), or the Candidate Recruitment and Development (CRD) Office to create an action plan that will help you get on the right path into Alliance Ministry. Begin this process and determine your next steps by filling out the “Called2Serve” form.

Step Two: Training

Depending on your planned ministry assignment, vocational or clergy, there are two different training paths for you to take.

Vocational Track

The vocational track requires both vocational training and real-life experience.

Start by attending an Alliance college or another college/university, serve in your local Alliance church, and/or apply for an Envision residency. Then, gain real-life experience (e.g., nursing, English language training (TESOL), business administration, etc.).

Clergy Track

The clergy track requires both clergy/mission training and accreditation.

Start by attending an Alliance college or other Christian college/university. Enter into the official process of accreditation that affirms your call and approves you to serve in licensed Alliance Ministry. Then, get ministry experience in an ALME (Alliance Licensed Ministry Experience).

Step Three: Engage in Alliance Ministry

Serve in one of the Alliance Missions specialized structures: CAMA, marketplace ministries, aXcess, or Envision.

The Alliance has plenty of training opportunities that will help you take the next step toward your calling.
