Brad and Dorothy Wood

Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

May 22, 2018

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Georgia. We trust ya'll are very well!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1.3

Our biggest news is that on June 30th we will be officially retired after 30 years of missionary service with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. We ministered in the following areas: Hispanic ministries in Spanish Harlem of New York City, and the Spanish speaking seminary of the Alliance (1988-1993), and the Dominican Republic in church planting and leadership training until the present. We are grateful for lasting friendships over the years both near and far. We want to stay in touch with you. Your prayers and support have meant too much for us to simply end communication. You will receive news from us once in a while.

The adjustment process involved in this significant change has not been easy, especially for me (Brad). Nevertheless, life goes on with ministry in Christ’s name and with part-time employment. Dorothy is on call for substitute teaching at the public schools and has opportunities to serve almost every day.

Thanks so much for your faithfulness that has made our ministry possible. Please continue to support the Great Commission Fund of the C&MA, without which we would not have been in the Dominican Republic the past 25 years.

Your allies for His kingdom,
Brad and Dorothy Wood

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

-- The Alliance Bible Institute ministry now gives classes in five locations of the Dominican Republic. Pray for the students’ on-going studies and church ministries.
-- Please pray for our sons and their families – Patrick lives near us, and Chris and family are in California with plans of returning to Asia in June.
-- Our church-plant in the eastern region of the DR recently had close to 80 kids in their Kids’ Kamp. The average attendance on Sunday mornings has climbed to 135 people.
