Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. I praise God for an apartment where I am slowly settling in and getting to know my new neighbors. Pray for opportunities to show the love of Jesus to each one.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

1. Pray for God to continue to call and equip men and women to serve Him in Mexico City. Pray specifically for Gilberto and Laura, church planters in Mexico City. Pray for others who are responding to God's call on their lives and are exploring HOW to follow that calling: Alejandro, Rebecca and Chuy, Paulina, Paola, Ana Miriam and others. Praise God for the vision and burden they have for the unreached people groups in Mexico! It is exciting to see God calling each one to take the Good News to the least reached people in the nation of Mexico. Pray for me as I mentor and encourage these young leaders to keep walking forward into all that God has for their lives.

2. Pray for our pastors and leaders to continue to boldly pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers into the harvest. We have seen a movement of prayer and missions blowing across Mexico as mission and national leaders have partnered in the College of Prayer and the Kairos courses. Pray for continued revival in our hearts as we serve together. Praise God for a joint vision trip to two areas of Mexico where there is a need for a team to begin outreach into the communities.

Praise God for an open door in a closed community for a medical brigade. Pray for God to do amazing things as these professional volunteers serve the Wixarika people. Please pray for favor with the leaders of this community. August 19 to 23, some of our international workers joined with other nationals to take the Kairos course to the communities of faith in the Copper Canyon.

3. Pray for more opportunities for partnering with like minded groups in providing theological training for those who desire to serve God in their communities and world. Pray for openness to consider alternative delivery sytems for training, such as online courses. Pray for our national leaders as they seek to take training to some of the more isolated areas of Mexico. Pray for the mission team to know how to come alongside when we are invited to do so.

I have been invited to join with national leaders to equip leaders in Ahuatitla, about 5 hours outside of Mexico City. Pray for wisdom and cultural sensitivity as I seek to serve.

4. Pray with us as we dream and plan for continued opportunities to train our women leaders for more effective ministry. Please continue to pray for local churches to see the need to equip and train their leaders for engaging in Kingdom work. I have had several invitations to come alongside and help equip. Pray for wisdom as I serve alongside the leadership team of a local community of faith. Pray for God to raise up women who have a burden for other women.

5. Thank the Lord for the beginning of an International Bilingual School which serves our international workers and their families, as well as serves as a means of outreach to families in Mexico City. Please pray for financial provision as they struggle to meet financial obligations. Pray for God to provide qualified teachers and personnel for this school year, as well. Pray for the new director of the school as he assumes leadership. This is an ongoing request....dlon't stop praying, please!!!! This year, the school lost 4 IW families who are going on home assignment, so they need a miracle for increased enrollment. Pray for unity among teachers and staff.

6. Please continue to pray for unity and healthy relationships as we serve alongside our national brothers and sisters in ministry. Ask God to teach us how to walk humbly with Him and one another.

7. Praise God for a reconnection opportunity with my former neighbors. Pray that I will continue to have opportunities to share Jesus with these women. One of my friends recently asked to study the Bible with me. Pray for God to give "A." understanding of what she reads.

Thank YOU for giving to the Great Commission Fund and for praying!
