Noe and Keila Hernandez

Serving in Paraguay

We are Noe and Keila Hernandez and we are living and serving in Paraguay along with our children Magdalena (15), Santiago (13), and Eden (9). We love good coffee, good movies and good conversation. Our daughter Magdalena (Lena) is a budding artist and can often be found drawing in her notebooks. Santiago enjoys soccer, the Green Bay Packers, and is only sitting still when it is his turn to play on the iPad! Eden is a clever and sweet girl who desperately loves her dog.

A native of Mexico, Noe grew up in a Catholic home and as a teenager moved to the United States with his family. At the age of 17 Noe gave his life to the Lord and felt a call to full time ministry. Keila grew up on a farm in Iowa and gave her life to the Lord when she was 10 years old through the ministry of a Christian radio station.

Both attended Crown College and were married in 2003. From 2005-2013 they worked in church planting and Hispanic ministries in Ottumwa, IA. Missions has always been something close to their hearts and in October of 2012 they began to sense God's leading down to path towards international ministry. They moved to Asuncion, Paraguay in January, 2014.

How you can Pray

Thank you for continuing to lift up the Paraguay team in prayer. We are so grateful to each of you for your support. Here are some ways you can be praying for us this month.

1. As always, please continue to pray for the teachers and students of IMAP (Alliance ministry training institute). The first class will graduate from the program on December 12th. We are planning and hopeful to have the graduation ceremony in person.

2. We have purchased a building for IMAP! It is currently being remodeled and prepared for next semester. We will be meeting in the new location beginning in February! Praise God for this great blessing!

3. IMAP is beginning a new ministry called "IMAP Te EnseƱa" This program will be a way to reach out to the community with workshops and classes on English, crafts, reading, and many others. Please pray for this new initiative beginning in the new year.

4. Keila is working with the Asuncion church to plan a women's outreach for December 5th. Please pray for her and each of the missionary ladies and leaders who are helping to make this event a success. We hope it is the first of many more to come.

5. Continue to pray for the Zuber, Liberda, and Grover families. Praise God the Paraguay borders are in the process of opening and we are anxiously waiting for our teammates to arrive. We are trusting God for his timing.

6. Please pray for the 8 churches, their pastors, leaders, and ministries. Pray for all the Alliance missionaries serving in Paraguay (from 4 different countries). We are all in this work together and we rely on your continued prayers.

Blessings to you all,
Noe and Keila,
Lena, Santi, and Eden
