Eric and Mary Francisco
Thank you for your prayers for us! We arrived in Taiwan in August 2016 and are currently in our two years of full-time language study before we move to Yunlin County to join our team in church planting among the Taiwanese working class.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21)
January 2016 Francisco Update
REASONS TO REJOICE
•A vehicle – We praise the Lord for His provision, through your generous gifts, that allowed us to purchase a van! It has already been a tremendous help to have a vehicle! Thank you for giving!
•Relationships – We thank the Lord for the people He continues to put in our path. Fellow Believers that encourage our hearts, unbelievers that have questions about Christianity, neighbors, new friends- we’re so grateful for all these relationships.
•Home – With each milestone, family birthday, and holiday, our roots get a little deeper. We rejoice that we get to be settled in Kaohsiung for these two years of language study and we are so thankful for our apartment and wonderful neighbors.
REQUESTS TO REMEMBER
•Learning Taiwanese – Sometimes we think that this is likely the most tiring season of our life (three young kids, full-time language study, adjustment to a new culture) so it can only go uphill from here. :) We are making progress in class, getting our homework done, finding people to practice our Taiwanese with, and understanding more and more each day, but we’re tired. Please pray for strength to persevere and for rest when we need it.
•Reaching the Lost – We want to share the hope of our living God with those lost in darkness. Please pray for the ministry of our teammates in Yunlin County (where we will move after our two years of language study) as they actively share the Good News in the most unreached part of Taiwan.
•Upcoming events – Please pray for two upcoming retreats we have the opportunity to attend- pray that both will be a time of drawing closer to the Lord and encouraging fellowship with our colleagues. One is a overnight prayer retreat with our team. The following week, we will join our teammates and the national C&MA pastors for the Co-workers Retreat.
