Church information Church size: Pre-Covid average attendance: 205 Church history: Locust Valley Chapel was started in 1954 in the Locust Valley section of Coopersburg. Over the past few years, the church has worked to refocus and restructure around a simplified discipleship pathway as opposed to having a large number of programs. Terry Smith’s “Changing Course” and Carey Nieuwhof’s “Breaking 200 without Breaking You” course were very instrumental. Our facility includes a worship center, gym and student rooms (which were added in 2018). Our fellowship hall was recently renovated into a new kids’ ministry space. Church vision: Our mission is to inspire people to Discover, Develop, and Demonstrate Life with Jesus. We accomplish this through our discipleship path where each individual is encouraged to: 1. Encounter God in Worship (Weekend Worship Services including D3 Kids ministry) 2. Grow in a Group (primarily D3 Groups—sermon-based small groups) 3. Serve on a Team (Connection, Facilities, D3 Kids, D3 Students, Mission, & Worship) Church ministry style: Contemporary
