POSITION - Worship Director Strategy: 1. The worship director will be the primary staff person who is responsible for envisioning and implementing the musical worship direction for MiddleCross Church, Lincoln NE. The position is designed to be 12-15 hours per week. 2. The worship director will encourage and nurture the whole community in what it means to worship the Lord. 3. The worship director will serve as a member of the staff team under the care and direction of the lead pastor. 4. The worship director will participate with the staff in developing and implementing the vision of MiddleCross Church. Duties and responsibilities: 1.The worship director will facilitate a weekly worship practice and either lead or direct others to lead the congregation on Sunday mornings. 2. Coordinating the schedule of who will be on worship team and ensuring the communication of that through Planning Center. 3. Ensure that there are people provided to serve in the areas of projection, sound, and lighting and connect potential volunteers to those who can equip them. 4. Encourage people to be involved on stage through a process for their potential involvement on the team. They will be gradually integrated onto the team under the leader’s direction. 5. Nurture the spiritual development and community of the team by encouraging an atmosphere of prayer and fellowship. 6. Coordinate the worship music of special services such as Good Friday, Easter, Christmas, etc. 7. Help create and support events that build into the body life of MiddleCross. 8. The worship coordinator will meet monthly with the lead pastor for support, encouragement, and accountability both personally and professionally. Qualifications and Job details: - The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry or 3 years of leadership in worship ministry in the local church. - It requires agreement with the doctrinal statement of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. - The role is intended to take approximately 12-15 hours per week - The position is salaried at 12,000-13,500 depending on education and experience. - While there are no vacation or health benefits, paid time off can be arranged as needed by working with the lead pastor
