PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the adult ministries team to continuously infuse the “make disciples who make disciples” vision into each group at CCC, including content development, leader training, and year-round strategic direction. (30%) • Develop groups and classes that reach and engage seekers; Engage new believers with baptism and follow up. (20%) • Implement strategies that intentionally engage non-believers in the Omaha metro area, working with the lead pastor, adult ministries team, programming team, and communication team to maintain a unified, collaborative effort toward evangelism and discipleship. (10%) • Train and mentor 8 leaders per year to equip them to lead and mentor others. (20%) • Teach and equip disciples of Jesus at CCC to make other disciples through consistent training classes and events. (10%) • Ministry Support: teaching, message team, staff meetings, all-church initiatives (10%) TIME / SCHEDULE • This is a full-time salaried position that averages 45-50 hours a week. • Typical days off are Fridays and Saturdays unless otherwise agreed upon by supervisor. NECESSARY SKILLS We are looking for someone with: • Bachelor’s degree required; seminary education preferred. • 3+ years of pastoral and/or evangelism ministry • Licensable with the C&MA (a minimum of 30 hours of biblical study at an accredited institution) • Able to provide clear spiritual direction for people and groups on all spectrums of their discipleship journey • Verbal and written communication skills for group content creation, teaching, vision-casting and training • Relational intelligence – outgoing, engaging, approachable, people-centric; able to identify, recruit, and train leaders. • An authentic zeal and passion to reach lost people with the gospel of Jesus • Proven experience and established passion to make disciples, not only in evangelistic corporate settings but in one-on-one and small group relationships. • A passion to equip disciples to make other disciples through training and mentoring leaders and the congregation as a whole, and through effectively share the gospel as part of their own discipleship journey with Jesus. • Communication gifts to be able to engage and train mid- and large-sized groups effectively. • Knowledge and experience in developing and training small group leaders as well as facilitating a large network of groups in a growing church • A magnetic personality who loves to engage those they don’t know and connect deeply with people they do know with the ultimate goal of making disciples. • The ability to collaborate with others on a team. • Humility, Godly character, and a commitment to the classic disciplines of the Christian faith (prayer, bible study, etc.) • Doctrinal alignment with the core beliefs of the Christian & Missionary Alliance: http://www.cmalliance.org/about/beliefs/doctrine
