Position Description: The time has come to hire our next youth pastor. Our current youth pastor is transitioning into a new role as a church planter in a nearby community. We are a church that highly values reaching, equipping, and empowering future generations to be the church. We are looking for someone who is first abiding in deep relationship with Christ, and out of that, is compelled to make disciples who follow God and His will. Our Current Ministry Rhythms: •Wednesday Night youth gathering. 6th - 8th grade currently meets 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and High School students meet from 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. •Sunday morning gathering during Sunday School hour. Middle School and High school students again meet in different spaces. •Random Bible Study groups throughout the week (often led by a volunteer team member or could be led by students) •3-year rotation of Life Conference - Overseas Mission Trip - Domestic Mission Trip with an emphasis on partnership with C&MA missionaries. •Fundraising: Working with a team to help students see God’s provision for what He has called them to here and around the world. •Desire to help students realize how they are uniquely gifted to minister to others and carry out the mission of God (Ephesians 2:10). Some ways we have done this is through developing a worship music ministry, hosting Coffee House nights to give artists opportunities to share their unique gifts to glorify God, and we encourage our youth to minister to those younger than them within the context of our children’s ministry. •We desire to have a staff culture of Gospel partnership that creates synergy and community to answer God’s call to affect lostness. This includes attending staff meetings, collaborating with other staff on ministry projects, and taking time to have fun with everyone on staff! •Intentionally leading volunteer youth leaders to relationally disciple youth towards a closer relationship with Jesus. •Encouraging and equipping parents as they parent and disciple their teenagers Questions regarding the position: David Pettit (612) 600-5208
