SENIOR PASTOR New Hope Church | Lebanon, OR New Hope Church is a community of believers on mission to aid the extension of the Kingdom of God by promoting the spiritual growth of the members in the body of Christ; by bringing the knowledge of His saving grace to the unsaved; and by following the examples of Christ in love and good works. The leadership is searching for a Senior Pastor to lead them in this mission. Pastoral duties may include the following: 1. Preach sermons, teaching the congregation on Sundays and throughout the week in a number of venues. 2. Provide pastoral counseling and oversight with other congregational elders to NHC and visitors. 3. Provide member and visitor visitation and pastoral care. 4. Provide hospital and nursing care facility visitation. 5. Attend regular church council meetings. 6. Encourage and facilitate lay led ministry and small groups. 7. Perform funerals and memorial services. 8. Perform weddings and baptisms as needed. 9. Assist with office and program coordination and management, responding as needed to telephone, text, written, and email messages. 10. Study current topics and trends necessary to perform this position, for the well being of those that attend this congregation. 11. Study and prepare sermons and curriculum for spiritual growth and the healthy development of the congregation and yourself. 12. Attend off-site seminars, functions and events that will enhance, promote, and encourage this ministry and congregations's health and well being. 13. Provide door to door ministry and make contacts with the people, businesses, and government of Lebanon and surrounding communities. 14. Encourage and promote creative outreach to the community for the furtherance of the Great Commission. 15. Promote and spend time praying (fasting as needed) each day personally, and with others- seeking first God's kingdom in the matters at hand, those presented to us by others, as well as matters of the future. 16. Network and develop relationships with local ministers, ministries, and business in an effort to promote the kingdom and will of God in Christ Jesus. 17. Be vigilant, alert, and available to God and this congregation, loving God, my family, and this congregation. 18. Take care of yourself so that you may serve well. 19.
