And therefore, everything that matters to Him matters to us! THE PEOPLE AND CULTURE COAH is a part of the Hmong District of the C&MA. It is a 2nd generational, English-speaking church with a multi-ethnic congregation. The church is welcoming of all newcomers, and has a casual family atmosphere. MINISTRIES COAH currently has several different ministries that aims to build and nurture a deep, intimate relationship with the Father. Ministries include: City Youth, City Kids, Little Lights (nursery), Single Adults, Life Groups, Worship Ministry, and Prayer Ministry, among others. HISTORY COAH started off as a daughter church of Warren Hmong Alliance Church in 2013; as a means to reach the younger, 2nd generation Hmong members of the congregation. As the need continued to grow, COAH continued to grow as well, until it was officially established as a standalone church in September of 2014. WORSHIP COAH currently holds Sunday service and Wednesday night ministries at a local elementary school, which requires weekly set up and tear down of ministry and worship equipment. THE COMMUNITY COAH is located in the city of Warren, MI (a neighboring city of Detroit). The city has a population of over 130,000 people. Warren is home to several of the automotive industries’ largest manufacturing and technical centers, including General Motors and Chrysler-Fiat. LEAD PASTOR COAH is seeking a Lead Pastor that will help provide spiritual and pastoral leadership; as the church continues on towards its vision of Radiating Christ to the community. And one who will continue to champion COAH’s mission of making, sending, and equipping disciples for the Lord’s work. The candidate must have experience working within a multicultural setting, and have a heart in reaching the community of which the church is a part of. The successful candidate must have a proven history of being a dedicated, mission minded, personable, empathetic and forward-thinking leader. The highest priority of the ministry of this church is to teach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to support the Great Commission Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in order to send the gospel throughout the world. Along with Sunday sermons, other top priorities of the pastor’s ministry are: ?Lead City On A Hill Church, in consultation with the governing board, in the implementation of all discipleship-making ministries, except when on vacation or authorized leave. ?Assist in administering the performance of Baptism, Communion, Holy Matrimony, Funeral Services, and other Christian and church family services. ?Attend church social events as part of work schedule. ?Perform hospital, jail, and home visitation as part of work schedule. ?At all times, faithfully and to the best of his ability perform all the duties herein described. ?Work diligently “to equip the people of God for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up until we all become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” Ephesians 4:11-13. The lead pastor is also responsible for providing oversight for all of the ministries of the church. This includes (but is not limited to): ?Working with the Leadership Team in planning and implementing God’s vision for the church ?Working with Ministry leaders to provide vision and insight in order to meet ministry goals ?Reaching out to the community to build and nurture relationships with local church and city leaders ?Leading efforts within the church to reach lost ones for God’s Kingdom ?Helping to provide leadership in ministries that will foster spiritual growth and maturity within the congregation Potential candidates must be in agreement with the Alliance Statement of Faith and be eligible to be licensed with the Hmong District of the C&MA.
