Brentwood Neighborhood Church Worship Pastor Purpose: To assist the lead pastor in cultivating a culture of authentic worship, relationship and love for God and one another through the arts (music, visual communication and atmosphere). Reports to: Lead Pastor & Executive Pastor Administrative Responsibilities: • Oversee the development and management of the financial planning and budget of the Worship Ministry Branch • Development and maintain expertise in the area of arts and music by attending a workshop and/or seminar at least once per year • Monitor the monthly reconciliation of the Worship Ministry Branch’s expenses in accordance to church’s policies • Management of credit card in accordance to church’s policies • Attend lead staff meetings, sections meetings, quarterly ministry leaders meetings Worship Leader Responsibilities: • Lead weekly rehearsals • Development of the desired atmosphere for Sunday services in consultation with the Lead Pastor • Work with the youth pastor to cultivate a culture of worship for BNC students through vision casting meetings, leading worship at youth group or scheduling band members and preparing them through rehearsals • Works with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator to create the desirable worship atmosphere for the Children’s events, assisting in the preparation and coordination of special events • Oversee input of services in Planning Center by Ex Admin • Create worship sets for main and student gatherings through Planning Center • Oversee technical programs and equipment through trainings specific to program and person, make sure it is all up to date and utilized efficiently • Present and lead a new praise song to the general congregation as part of the Sunday services, once a quarter Communication: • Provide clarity to the general congregation about the vision of the church and its relationship with worship • Communicate the vision and up to date information about the Worship Ministry Branch during: o Lead Staff Meeting o Section Meetings o Quarterly ministry leaders meeting (when applicable) • Clearly understand direction and vision of the lead pastor and clearly communicate it to teams (Ex Admin, admin of programs, interns and volunteer teams). • Create the structure and flow of weekly gatherings through weekly meetings with staff members
