Princeton Alliance Church, Youth Ministries Assistant Pastor/Director Gift Set: Leadership, Discipleship, Teaching The Youth Ministries Assistant Pastor/Director is a member of the PAC Youth Team under the direction of the Youth Ministries Pastor. Together, they embrace PAC’s vision and mission of living life to the fullest in Jesus by knowing God, developing community, and bringing hope. To that end, he or she supports ministry to middle school and high school students, and ministers to the parents of students. The Youth Ministries Assistant Pastor/Director is a full-time leader in the spiritual development of students, specifically between grades 6–8, with a secondary emphasis on the spiritual and leadership development of a volunteer team. He or she provides experience and expertise in the following areas: Leadership & Spiritual Development – Intentionally build and strengthen relationships inside and outside of the church – Identify and cultivate the spiritual growth and leadership potential in students and volunteers – Develop and integrate new volunteers; provide foundational training, support, and encouragement – Provide direction and supervision for the Youth Ministries Worship Coordinator Administration – Prayerfully and collaboratively set and communicate an action plan for the Middle School Ministry aligned with PAC’s strategy – Plan and coordinate the execution of weekly Thursday and Sunday experiences, annual retreat, annual mission experience, and periodic outreach events – Consistently evaluate all aspects of ministry in collaboration with others – Invest in what is healthy and reproducible in order to release, send, and multiply The ideal candidate has experience successfully leading the Youth Ministry of a medium-sized church (500+) over a significant period of time. In addition to excellent communication and organizational skills, he or she possesses a/an: - Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus - Passion to champion the role of the local church - Willingness to serve others in humility - Commitment to professional and personal excellence - Collaborative approach and a team mentality - Ability to multitask and meet deadlines - Creative spirit and a passion for innovation - Track record for consistency and reliability - Ability to “self-start” (i.e., recognize a need and initiate an appropriate response) � Knack for resourceful problem solving PRINCETON ALLIANCE CHURCH | 20 Schalks Crossing Road | Plainsboro, NJ 08536 | princetonalliance.org | 609.799.9000 In concert with his or her daily professional responsibilities, the Youth Ministries Assistant Pastor/Director participates in weekly staff development activities such as staff prayer and a staff meeting facilitated by PAC’s Executive Pastor. The pastor/director is (or will become) involved in an active discipleship coaching relationship. He or she will become a member of PAC (within six months of employment). He or she will regularly attend PAC Sunday services once employed. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree. The pastor/director has or is able to fulfill licensing/ordination requirements as set forth by the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
