Great Commission Community Church Associate Pastor Please send all communication and documents to: Ministry Position Description: Seeking Associate Pastor who will oversee one of our sites and provide leadership to community life for the whole church. Ministry Qualifications: 1. Ordained minister in C&MA (or able to transfer) 2. Character a. Godly character & spiritual maturity 3. Competencies a. Strong interpersonal skills b. Strong organizational skills c. Experience in pastoring and leading ministries 4. Experience in working in a multi-ethnic and urban setting Ministry Responsibilities: 1. Church-wide responsibilities a. Oversee the Small Group ministry for the entire church i. Shepherd and guide the SG leaders ii. Recruit and train SG leaders iii. Research and provide SG study materials b. Member of our preaching team, giving input and sermon development c. Serve on the Elder Board d. Support missions ministry e. Organize and provide classes, seminars and/or workshops to equip the church f. Depending on spiritual gifting and/or experience, provide leadership to ministries that would enhance community life 2. Site responsibilities a. Shepherd over the congregants of one site i. Pastoral counsel and visitation ii. Work with the elders to provide membership care iii. Model discipleship b. Oversee all aspects of Sunday worship service to assigned site i. Set up/tear down ii. Welcome iii. Praise iv. Children & nursery c. Preaching i. Preach 12-18 times a year, as part of a larger preaching team Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience To Apply: 1. Cover letter 2.
